SPIN

Written by: Codie Prevost/ Wille Mack

THERE’S A FOUR WAY STOP AND AN OLD CAFÉ
WHERE EVERYONE IN TOWN WOULD START THERE DAY
GRAB AN ICE Cold Drink AT THE PUMP AND PAY
OUR WEEKENDS SPENT DOWN AT THE LAKE
BUT SOMETHING STARTED TELLING ME IT’S TIME TO DISAPPEAR
SO ONE DAY I MADE THE TIRES ON MY OLD CAVALIER

SPIN DOWN THE HIGHWAY
PEDDLE DOWN CHEVROLET
NOTHING STANDING IN MY WAY, HEY HEY
LIKE A DUST DEVIL IN THE FIELD
LIKE A KID’S PINWHEEL
WHIRLING IN THE WIND
MY WHEELS WERE JUST MADE TO SPIN

THE ROAD LEADS THERE EVERY NOW AND THEN
FOR MY MAMMA’S FRIED CHICKEN AND TO SEE SOME OLD FRIENDS
GRAB A CUP OF COFFEE CATCH UP ON THE NEWS
I CAN SEE THAT NOTHING’S CHANGED IN A MINUTE OR TWO
I START GETTING’ RESTLESS WHEN I’M STANDING STILL
WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN I MAKE THOSE WHEELS

LIKE THE HANDS AROUND THE CLOCK
LIKE A KIDS TOY TOP
LIKE RECORD IN AN OLD JUKE BOX, I’M OFF I

LIKE THE BLADES ON A DC-10
ROUND AND AROUND AGAIN

Good Livin

WE BREAK OUR BACKS IN THE HOT RED SUN
WORKIN ALL WEEK TRYIN TO GET IT DONE
YA WE EARN EVERY DIME THAT WE GET PAID

A LITTLE BIT OF CASH FOR JUST ENOUGH GAS
TO DRIVE THE GIRLS CRAZY WHEN WE GO TO FAST
COME FRIDAY NIGHT, THERE AIN’T NO TIME TO WASTE

CAUSE WE’RE SURE MAKIN US SOME GOOD OLD DAYS

IT’S A GRAVEL ROAD KIND A SIMPLE LIFE
IT’S A TIRE SWING AND A SIP OF WINE
HANGIN OUT BENEATH THE LIGHTS OF THIS SMALL TOWN
IT’S A CORNFIELD AND A BLUE SKY
IT’S A FULL MOON AND FIRE FLIES
SUNDAY CHURCH AND DOWN HOME DEEP FRIED CHICKEN

YOU CAN STAND UP TALL WE GOT IT ALL
AND THAT’S WHAT I CALL
GOOD LIVIN

NO RUSH HOUR RACE, TRAFFIC FIGHTS
BIG BOX STORES, BILLBOARDS SIGNS
SELLING JUNK WE DON’T NEED ANYWAY
CAUSE I’VE SEEN ENOUGH OF ALL THAT STUFF
BUT ALL I WANT IS A GIRL I LOVE
AND A PIECE OF LAND TO SETTLE DOWN SOMEDAY

RIGHT HERE WOULD BE THE PERFECT LITTLE PLACE

IT’S A GRAVEL ROAD KIND A SIMPLE LIFE
IT’S A TIRE SWING AND A SIP OF WINE
HANGIN OUT BENEATH THE LIGHTS OF THIS SMALL TOWN
IT’S A CORNFIELD AND A BLUE SKY
IT’S A FULL MOON AND FIRE FLIES
SUNDAY CHURCH AND DOWN HOME DEEP FRIED CHICKEN

YOU CAN STAND UP TALL WE GOT IT ALL
AND THAT’S WHAT I CALL
GOOD LIVIN

Call Me When You get There

Written by: Codie Prevost/Adam Wheeler

Sometimes love let's you out before your ready
Leaves you standing on the side of the road
You can look back and cry
If you wannna
Or be thankful for the places
You never would have known.

We stopped time like a day down on Captiva Island
Felt right as a breeze on a sweet Georgia night
We gambled like we were in the lights of sin city
Burned hard as Memphis blues bar in July
Now it cuts like a Calgary winter wind
thinking we'll never travel cross the map again
But if you find regret somewhere
Call me when you get there

I pray someday you will discover
This world needs alot more lovers like us
I heard you loud and clear when you said it's over
But that don't mean I'll ever give up

And we danced like the stars in the sky over Texas
Flew high as a mountain out in Colorado
Came and went like a trend out of southern California
Made more memories than a spring break in Mexico
Now it cuts like a Calgary winter wind
thinking we'll never travel cross the map again
But if you find regret somewhere
Call me when you get there

We went a thousand places with no direction
Ran out of gas just before perfection

And we danced like the stars in the sky over Texas
Flew high as a mountain out in Colorado
Came and went like a trend out of southern California
Made more memories than a spring break in Mexico
Now it cuts like a Calgary winter wind
thinking we'll never travel cross the map again
But if you find regret somewhere
Call me when you get there

One of those days

Written by: Codie Prevost/Adam Wheeler

The power took out my alarm this morning
7:15 I was still snoring
Jumped up thinking man I’ve missed that plane
Flight delayed I was right on time
Didn’t even have to wait in line
Got an hour extra sleep and an empty first class seat
Good thing for me

It’s just one of those days
Everything is going my way
Feel’s good to catch a break sometime
Every now and then the sevens line up
Call it god’s grace or just good luck
Wherever you are I hope you can say
It’s just one of those days

Big crowd waiting at the baggage claim
Half an hour later not one suitcase
Everybody’s saying they must have lost our stuff
Started conversation with a girl named kim
Didn’t wanna stop when the bags rolled in
I guess she felt it to cause the next thing I knew
We were sitting there at a table for two

I almost hat to close my eyes
Cause who knows what tomorrows gonna be like

I hope it’s one of those days
Everything is going my way
Feel’s good to catch a break
Every now and then the seven’s line up
Call it god’s grace or just good luck
Wherever you are I hope you can say
It’s just one of those days

Every now and then the seven’s line up
Call it god’s grace or my good luck

Quicksand

Written by Codie Prevost/Adam Wheeler

You have a bad day
So you don’t go straight home
You take a right turn thinking that might fix what’s wrong
You lay your keys and all your stress down on the bar and start up a tab

You feel better
With every drink you take
So you think maybe you just found an easy way
To solve your problems and if tomorrow life gets hard to handle you’ll be back

Ain’t that just the way the devil leads us down a path
Where we wind up worse than we were and there’s no turning back
You go from standing tall to disappearing where you stand
Like a slow sinking man in quicksand

You make a dollar
Turns into three or four
You feel important and that makes you want more
You chase success and happiness is something you let your bank account decide

You lose focus
Of just how rich you were
Back when your family and all your friends came first
You just forget them and you won’t miss em
Till the day your kissing them good bye

You need a hand it takes a friend
Or the good lord reaching down
To lift you up with faith and love
When you get that far in the ground
How’d you get that far in the ground

In quicksand

Breath Taking

Written by Codie Prevost/Steve Fox

it's four am and i'm restless
one look at you and i'm breathless
I feel so alive but when you open your eyes
I'm dying for the millionth time

You stole my heart
and broke them chains
you blew those black clouds far away
I was speechless
It was all so painless

You winded me
and made my head spin
I dropped down to my knees and then
I was shaking
Cause your breath taking

Used to keep my head down
But I have so much more to see now
So i lift my chin and take it all in
and i'm slayin again and again
